Terms

Terms for making imagination tangible

These terms cover uploads, custom production, payment, delivery, and use of Make Believe Made Real.

Adult customer and permission

You must be an adult able to enter a binding agreement. By submitting a drawing, fictional character design, image, written description, personalized name, audio, or sound recording, you confirm that you created it or have all permission needed to use it and authorize the service providers involved in creating and delivering the order to process it for that purpose.

By uploading one or more photographs for a Photo Figurine, you additionally represent that you are the photographed adult or the child's parent or legal guardian, or otherwise have the authority to submit each person's or pet's likeness. You confirm that you own the photographs or have permission to use them, and that the limited processing needed to create, preview, manufacture, ship, and support the custom figurine is authorized. This representation is accepted when you upload the photographs.

A Tabletop customer must also confirm that the character is fictional, is not an identifiable real person, and is original or authorized for this commercial custom order. The exact confirmation shown during creation is:

I confirm that the character is fictional and is not an identifiable real person; that I created or am authorized to use the character, its design, and every image or description I submit; that my submission does not violate another party's rights; and that I authorize its commercial adaptation, manufacture, and sale as this custom 3D figurine.

For a baby-footprint keepsake, every submitted footprint must be an impression made when the child was age 10 or younger. By checking out, you represent that each footprint submitted for the order meets this requirement.

For a personalized name keychain, you confirm that you are authorized to submit and reproduce the name or other short text you enter.

Your artwork and rights

You retain any rights you hold in the drawing, character material, description, photograph, personalized name, audio, or sound recording you submit. You grant us and the service providers involved in fulfillment a limited permission to admit and store it, create an optional private 3D preview before payment when that feature is available, privately create and review the paid production design, manufacture and deliver your order, support you, and meet the obligations described in these terms and the Privacy notice.

Custom production

Each new item is made from an individual drawing, a fictional tabletop character reference/description, a customer-selected personalized name, or customer-provided audio or sound recording. A name keychain is generated deterministically from the approved text, font, size, and two colors shown in its live 3D preview. Minor spacing, connector, wall-thickness, and finish differences needed for secure printing are not defects. One 25 mm nickel-plated steel split key ring is included with each name keychain. A sound recording is deterministically translated into a sound-wave keepsake. When the optional customer 3D preview is enabled and generation capacity is available, the admitted Kids or Tabletop source may be sent to our AI-assisted 3D service before payment so the owning customer can privately inspect one model. The preview is a shopping convenience only: checkout always remains available, and a missing, delayed, or failed preview does not prevent an order. If the feature is off or no preview request is admitted, 3D generation waits until after payment. A terminal pre-payment generation failure instead enters human production review after payment; support will contact the customer if the design cannot be completed safely.

A marketplace collectible is a custom physical print of the model, version, scale percentage, and available filament color you choose. Those selections and the merchandise price are frozen when the item enters your cart. It includes no STL, 3MF, source model, or other digital model download.

An in-progress pre-payment 3D preview is an AI-generated shopping visualization, not a promise of an exact reproduction. For a Photo Figurine, once the selected candidate has been repaired, fitted to its form, sliced, and quoted, its protected viewer shows the final printable geometry for that order. Neither view guarantees an exact facial, pose, clothing, color, or hand-finished reproduction. Automated generation, material limits, scaling, and print-safety work may change pose, proportions, thickness, connections, fine details, and the base. A protected Tabletop order view lets the owning customer inspect the final white production model without adding a separate approval step.

A Kids customer never approves manufacturing geometry. After payment, only the owning customer may view the finalized GLB without a base or exact production 3MF with a selected base. Viewing it is not required and does not pause or approve Kids production. A pre-payment Tabletop preview is only a shopping visualization. After payment, the owning Tabletop customer may inspect the exact canonical unpainted-white production model with its integrated round base, but viewing or approving it is not required before production preparation continues. Figurines use AI-assisted 3D generation and supervised manufacturing. The generated shape is a custom interpretation rather than an exact hand sculpt, reconstruction, or color match. Unseen sides are inferred, and fragile details may be thickened or simplified for production. The physical product is supplied as a complete 3D object. Manual review may identify gaps, thin features, or stability issues. If we need information or cannot responsibly produce the paid order, support will contact you.

Turning two-dimensional artwork into a printable object requires artistic and technical interpretation. Minor differences in shape, proportions, surface texture, color, or fine details are normal and are not defects when the finished object reasonably reflects the original source and product description.

A Photo Figurine begins with one to three private photographs for each selected person or pet. Before checkout, the service may use the submitted photographs and selected style to create private AI-assisted 3D preview candidates. The candidate you select is normalized to the chosen physical size and form, measured with the configured printer profile, and priced from that measured production plan before payment. A preview is an interpretation, not an exact scan or guarantee of facial, pose, color, or clothing detail. We may make print-safety changes such as a base, stand interface, thicker features, keychain attachment, or a separate bobblehead head/body assembly.

A direct figurine purchase is only for the physical keepsake and shipping. Its STL/3MF production files, provider lineage, task status, and other manufacturing files remain private to our human review and manufacturing process. A private preview or paid-order viewer is not a production-file download or a separate digital-file license. Because a viewer sends renderable STL, GLB, or 3MF data to the browser, however, its geometry can be copied or recovered. A different product version includes digital files only if Checkout explicitly lists a separately licensed digital pack and its exact terms.

Optional showcase permission

If you separately opt in from a paid order, you grant a limited, revocable permission to display one reviewed raster example in the public “Examples of what we can make” gallery and related marketing. The gallery is curated inspiration, not a preview of your order. This does not grant permission to publish the uploaded drawing or generated 3D model, personal details, order number, or printable 3D files. Withdrawing permission stops future display by the service but cannot recall screenshots or copies already made by other people.

Prohibited uploads

Do not upload unlawful, infringing, abusive, sexually exploitative, hateful, dangerous, or privacy-invasive material. Do not include unnecessary personal information about a child. The Tabletop experience is for original or authorized fictional characters; do not submit a real-person photograph, official character sheet, branded game artwork or logo, or material you are not authorized to use. We may reject or cancel an order that cannot be made safely or lawfully.

Product safety and availability

Complete custom 3D objects, including marketplace collectibles, are decorative keepsakes, not toys or products for unsupervised play. Their shapes vary by design and may include small, thin, or pointed details. An adult must supervise coloring and handling. Follow the Materials & Safety guidance and stop use if any part cracks, loosens, or develops a sharp edge.

Name keychains and their included metal split rings are small parts and are not toys. Keep them away from young children and anyone likely to put the item or ring in their mouth. Inspect the printed opening and ring regularly, and stop use if either loosens, cracks, separates, or develops a sharp edge.

When an order includes the hidden magnet option, one small magnet is enclosed in each finished footprint or sound-wave module during printing. Magnets can cause serious internal injury if swallowed. Keep the keepsake away from young children and anyone likely to put it in their mouth, inspect it regularly, and stop using it immediately if the print cracks, separates, or exposes or releases the magnet.

Pricing and payment

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars. For every new physical custom order, the merchandise quote is based on its measured production plan: the selected printer profile, printable part count, sliced print time, material use, required assembly or finishing, packaging, and configured operating costs. Optional hand painting, hardware, and shipping are shown as separate line items where applicable. The exact quote for the selected preview is shown before payment and is frozen for that preview while it remains valid. Free standard shipping may apply after discounts when the then-current threshold is met. Payment is processed by an authorized payment provider when you confirm the order.

Production, shipping, and remedies

For a Kids direct figurine, any optional pre-payment model remains a private preview; production review begins after confirmed payment and does not require customer geometry approval. For a Tabletop figurine, any pre-payment model is likewise only a preview, and manufacturing begins only after payment. The exact private 3MF is available for protected inspection while production preparation continues without a customer or operator approval checkbox. Manufacturing starts when our printer starts the first item, or when we send a production work package to our production partner. Compatible keepsakes are packed together. Oversize or specially packed items may arrive separately. Production time varies by order. Current status is available from the customer account, and we email carrier tracking after shipment. Any carrier delivery date is an estimate, not a guaranteed arrival date. Cancellation is available until the manufacturing boundary. After it, each custom item is final sale and cannot be changed, canceled, refunded, returned, or exchanged. Subjective dislike of a custom generated Tabletop model or normal layer/support characteristics is not a defect. If an order arrives damaged, materially inconsistent with the ordered product description, incorrect, or defective, contact us promptly so we can review a repair or remake. If the carrier reports a delivery failure, contact us so we can verify the tracking and review a replacement shipment. Refunds are provided only when required by applicable law, and all non-waivable consumer rights still apply.
