How does Make Believe Made Real work?
Choose a Photo Figurine, custom name keychain, baby-footprint keepsake, or sound-wave keepsake. We create a printable model, slice it with the active printer profile, show its exact price, and then make and ship the approved order.
What makes the best photo figurine upload?
Use one to three clear photos of the same person or pet. A visible face and a full-body view usually produce the strongest result. Choose a style, form, finish, and size; custom direction can describe a pose, outfit, or character concept.
Will I see a 3D model before ordering?
Yes. Photo Figurines generate a private 3D preview first. The selected model is repaired, fitted to the requested form, sliced, and given an exact quote before you pay.
How is the price calculated?
Every physical product is priced from its final printable model. The quote uses sliced print time, material, parts, finishing, hardware, packaging, and configured operating costs. Shipping and any applicable tax appear before payment.
What sizes can a Photo Figurine be?
Choose a longest physical dimension from 50 to 200 mm per printable part. True spring bobbleheads start at 90 mm. The model is uniformly scaled to the selected size and may use a stand, keychain interface, or separate bobblehead assembly where chosen.
Can I make a D&D-style character, couple, family, or pet?
Yes. Photo Figurines support people, couples, families, pets, and a person with a pet. Choose Fantasy RPG hero or use Custom direction for your own character idea.
Can I upload a 3D model I already have?
Not at this time. The current custom catalog starts from photos, names, footprint images, or sound recordings; no customer STL or 3MF upload is offered.
What is the object made from?
Photo Figurines are white PLA and include standard sandblasting. Hand-painted finishing is available as an added service. Layer lines and small surface variations are normal in custom 3D printing.
Do I receive the 3D files?
No. Orders are for physical custom keepsakes. Private 3D previews help you shop but are not an STL, 3MF, or digital-file license.
How is my photo used?
Your uploaded photos are used privately to create the selected figurine and preview. By uploading, an adult confirms they have the guardian, likeness, and photo rights described in our Terms. Source photos are deleted after shipment; printable artifacts are deleted 30 days after delivery.
How long will my order take?
Production time varies with model complexity, finishing, and the print queue. We email tracking after carrier handoff; delivery dates are estimates.
Can I cancel, return, or exchange a custom order?
Contact us immediately if you need help before manufacturing starts. Once printing begins, a custom order is final sale; damage, defects, incorrect items, delivery failures, and non-waivable legal rights remain covered by our order policy.
Can I show my finished order publicly?
Only if the ordering adult separately opts in after payment. Public examples are curated and never include your source photos, private model, order details, or printable files.
Are these toys?
They are custom decorative keepsakes, not toys for unsupervised play. Adult supervision is required for handling, coloring, and any small or removable parts.
